What game should Elm buy?

So I'm back home from my second year of college, and I'm giving myself a few days to relax before I prepare for my internship. I've been eyeing a few games to buy, but I'm not sure which. Here are links to each of them on Steam:

Oxenfree: http://store.steampowered.com/app/388880/

Firewatch: http://store.steampowered.com/app/383870/

Parkitect: http://store.steampowered.com/app/453090/

  • I voted for Firewatch because on principle I choose to buy steam games while they are on sale. I would actually suggest you wishlist all these games and buy on sale when you can.

If cost doesn't really matter to you, you might as well go Oxenfree since you seem to be really interested, enough to make a topic about it anyways. For me though Planetbase looks like the one I would want most, followed by Firewatch.

I've seen playthroughs of Planetbase and I for one think it's kinda meh.

I would recommend you pick up Offworld Trading Company, if you don't mind paying 10$ more.

It's not one of the choices but I think you might like it.

    Otherwise I vote Oxenfree.

I've seen some play of parkitect. The people don't have any pathfinding at all, they just wander randomly. And by randomly I mean they can, if RNG says so, walk in circles for an hour.

Oxenfree since its on the list.

From there, I only played Planetbase, it's fun and whatnot, but it kind of feels like it doesn't have much replayability, once you know the order and best base structure, it becomes somewhat repetitive unless you are at higher difficulty levels, when attacks and other stuff are more common and so you have to be careful with that.

You never really know the truly "best structure" for a base, though, so until you figure that out, you can have plenty of fun.

You may end up just trying to find a way to kill all your people, though.
